While I agree that you don't need to give a social security number to open an account, bullying the account representatives that open the accounts is uncivilized and rude.
Ask for a VP or the President of the bank, so that they can get the proper lawyers involved and you aren't being an asshole to the lowly paid bank teller or personal banker.
